Through our Diversified Vegetable Financial Benchmark Study, we’re helping veggie farmers improve their bottom line by plugging into a nationwide research project, coordinated by the University of Wisconsin, to determine financial benchmarks for diversified vegetable farmers. Financial benchmarks can provide farmers with a more accurate idea of the typical returns they can expect from entering into new sales outlets.
During this webinar, you’ll complete a detailed financial survey about your vegetable farm that will take approximately 90 minutes. We’ll also share highlights and lessons learned from our 2016 study. We will later provide you with personalized information about how your business finances compare to farms across Pennsylvania and the U.S.
All participants are eligible for a $100 stipend for completing the study, but must prepare some basic 2017 financial records before the workshop. General results from this study will be shared publicly, but your farm’s specific data will be kept confidential.
At this time, participation in this study is limited to for-profit diversified vegetable operations.
This event qualifies for one SmartStart credits through AgChoice Farm Credit. SmartStart allows young and beginning farmers to earn credits toward a reduced interest rate on a new AgChoice loan by attending educational events.
