Many of our events are located on farms in rural areas. GPS applications may locate rural events inaccurately, so please check the event registration page for any specific details about directions. If you’re having trouble locating the venue on the day of the event, please contact the event coordinator or our main office at 814.349.9856.
How should I prepare for a workshop or event?
Most of our workshops and events are outdoors. Please wear appropriate footwear for walking outside, and dress appropriately for the weather.
Bring a water bottle. A water fill station will be provided.
Bring a notebook or other note-taking device.
Remember your business cards—our events are an excellent networking opportunity.
Make the most of this event by preparing several questions in advance.
Do you allow walk-ins?
While pre-registration is always preferred, we allow walk-ins at most of our events. However, when space is limited, we do not allow walk-ins and require pre-registration. (We’ll note if pre-registration is required on the individual event page under “Additional Information.”)
If you do plan to register as a walk-in, please plan to arrive approximately 10-15 minutes early.
For events that include a meal, only pre-registered participants are guaranteed a meal. Walk-in registrants should plan to bring their own lunch or dinner.
What payments options do you accept?
If you submit your payment online or over the phone, we accept Visa, MasterCard, or Discover.
If you submit your payment at an event, we accept cash or checks only.
Payment in advance through our secure online registration store is preferred.
Receipts for payment are available upon request.
In some cases, we may accept pre-registration by phone with payment to be made by cash or check at the door. However, no-shows will be invoiced for the full registration fee.
Do you offer any financial assistance?
In the case that financial barriers may prevent participation at an event, please contact Clay Chiles at firstname.lastname@example.org or 814.349.9856 to discuss options that may be available through scholarships or other financial support.
For events that include meals, do you accommodate dietary restrictions?
Please let us know if you have special dietary needs. We’ll do our best to accommodate them.
What’s your refund policy?
Refunds will be processed upon request for cancellations received with at least three days notice. Because we need to reserve a meal count in advance, no refunds can be given if the cancellation is received less than three days before the event.
Significant time and planning goes into our full-day or multi-day educational events. Our refund policy reflects that some expenses are committed prior to the event. The refund will be a percent of your registration cost that is based on when you cancel according to the chart below.

Can I bring children?
Children over the age of 10 will be charged the same registration fee as their parents, regardless of parent’s membership type. In order to facilitate other participants’ learning, we ask that parents do not bring children under the age of eight to our events. However, exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us for prior approval to bring younger children.
