Join us at the Northampton Community College Fabrication Laboratory—a.k.a. the Fab Lab—to learn the basic techniques for Stick, MIG, and TIG welding.
The class will teach you the basic techniques to perform MIG and TIG welding successfully. We will cover safety, set-up, and the proper settings for various material types. Successful completion of the course will grant you the use of the Fab Lab welding apparatus; however, time and materials will be charged. Appointments to use the welding facility will be approved only after a project consultation with our welding instructor.
Dress Attire: Long-sleeved shirts and closed-toe shoes are required. Clothing should be made of natural fibers, wool, denim, or cotton. NO fleece or polyester. Please pull long hair back. A welding helmet, welding jacket, and protective gloves will be provided.
After spending 8 years in United States Marine Corps Brian started welding/ fabricating at a local shop (Soul Custom) from 2014-2022 concurrently during that time he attended Welding Testing and Training Institute (WTTI). After completing that 9 month course he was certified in stainless pipe, stainless plate and aluminum plate in all positions. A part time position was offered to him after graduation and he taught at WTTI for 1 year. He then attended NCC and graduated with a degree in business management. In 2023, Brian started my own mobile welding and fabrication business Creidhne Restorations currently serving the Poconos and the Lehigh Valley.
