Grower-to-Grower Tour Garden Dreams’ Net-Zero Plant Nursery

Each month this growing season, Grow Pittsburgh and Pasa Sustainable Agriculture are offering farmers and gardeners the chance to get a behind-the-scenes look at some of Pittsburgh’s unique growing spaces.

May’s Grower-to-Grower Tour features Grow Pittsburgh’s Garden Dreams Urban Farm & Nursery. Manager Hanna Mosca will guide us through this 2,800 square foot, automated, net zero energy greenhouse. She’ll share how they produce over 15,000 seedlings each year to sell and provide to growers in the community. The site also functions as a learning space for farmer education and workforce development. Hanna will talk about those programs and let us in on future plans for this beautiful space. 

Post-tour potluck: After the tour we’ll enjoy some food and conversation. Bring along a dish to share! This is a great time to swap your growing tips, tricks, and discuss your farm and garden trials and tribulations. 

This event is part of our “Growing to the Next Level” series held in partnership with Grow Pittsburgh.

• You don’t need to bring a dish to attend! We’ve got plates and utensils covered. We’ll also provide some snacks and beverages.
