Farmer stories are essential in advocating for federal policy that invests in environmental conservation, advances food justice, and confronts climate change.
Join us at RE Farm Cafe at Windswept Farm to learn how you can add your voice to the 2023 Farm Bill conversation.
We’ll hear from a farmer who took action by sharing their story with legislators. Local organizers for National Young Farmers Coalition Flip Zang and Adrienne Nelson, will also be there to talk about their experiences in direct advocacy and discuss the importance of storytelling in building a successful campaign for policy change.
You’ll have the opportunity to connect with other farmers and food system changemakers and develop your own advocacy action plan.
After the workshop, we will take a tour of Windswept Farm and enjoy some light snacks from the Cafe’s kitchen—featuring many ingredients grown right on the farm.
