Community Art & Sustainable Design on the Urban Farm

October 3, 2018 @ 11:00 am - 1:30 pm

One Art Community Center strives to inspire people to creatively heal and express themselves through art, including the art of gardening and sustainable design.

One Art’s agricultural aspect, Oasis Farm, focuses on transforming vacant lots into components of a sustainable food system by providing healthy food, new jobs, and interactive educational opportunities for community members.

In addition to increasing local access to fresh fruits and vegetables, Oasis Farm integrates the principles of sustainable design through its construction methods, sourcing alternative energy, and water catchment systems.

Join us and Oasis Farm’s staff for a tour and discussion of this unique space that has arisen from—and strives to enrich—the community that surrounds it.
