Weed Control Strategies on Organic Farms

Join us for a twilight tour developed for intermediate to advanced growers at Who Cooks For You Farm, a first-generation organic farm that has supplied Pittsburgh farmers markets and restaurants with fresh produce for over 10 years.

During the tour we’ll discuss the tools and techniques Who Cooks For You currently employs to decrease and manage weed pressure, and will highlight bed system layouts for effective tractor cultivation and maximizing utility. We’ll also consider the weed control methods the farm has used in the past but decided to leave behind as its production methods have evolved over time.
