Twilight Farm Tour: Rivendale Farms

Photo: Rivendale Farms

Rivendale Farms has gained attention from regional and national press for their efforts to employ advanced technologies on a small-scale while continuing to rely on traditional farming methods.

Join us for a twilight tour of the operation with Rivendale farmers Susanna Meyer and Neil Stauffer to see how the farm produces high-end dairy products, poultry, and vegetables utilizing state-of-the-art technologies like robotic milkers, as well as low- and no-tech methods like egg mobiles and guardian dogs, in a beautiful corner of southwest Pennsylvania.

Speaker information

Neil Stauffer, Rivendale Farms: Neil Stauffer has managed CSAs and farm-direct sales with software solutions for over 10 years. He currently serves as the distribution manager at Rivendale.

Susanna Meyer, Rivendale Farms: Susanna is Rivendale’s crop production manager, where she manages eight acres and grows a diversity of crops with a methodology that marries time-honored sustainable farming practices with ultra-modern technological innovation.
