Russell supports urban farmers with technical assistance and helps them join our research studies.
Russell is a queer farmer who worked in university research greenhouses, botanical gardens, and trail crews before finding their way into vegetable production. Prior to joining Pasa, Russell managed the Garfield Community Farm and spent four years as a community garden project manager with Grow Pittsburgh. They graduated from University of Pittsburgh with a degree in environmental studies, religious studies, and a geographic information system certificate.
In their free time, Russell enjoys backpacking, playing board games, drawing, and making biochar.
