Rachel leads our finance team and ensures we maintain accurate accounting, tracking, and reporting systems.
After graduating college with strong opinions about agricultural sustainability, Rachel decided to give farming a try. To her surprise fell in love with it. She spent a decade working on and managing small-scale, diversified vegetable farms across Pennsylvania in both rural and urban settings. She was also a founding member and co-manager of the producer-only Lancaster East Side Market. In 2016 Rachel pivoted from farming to farm consulting, providing operations, administrative, and bookkeeping support to farm and food-related businesses throughout the Northeast.
In her free time Rachel loves learning to play new musical instruments, and she stays connected to sustainable agriculture in her backyard micro farm where she practices seed saving and building wildlife habitats.
