About Melanie

Melanie is part of our customer support team, working to maintain a welcoming and inclusive application process for frontline workers applying to the Farm and Food Workers Relief Program in 14 states throughout the Northeast.

Before joining Pasa, Melanie spent most of her time nurturing her business, Made by Lino. Its mission is to craft exceptional naturally fermented bread and pastry, celebrate local ingredients, and create a warm and inclusive space that connects communities through the joy of good food. She is passionate about preparing food, growing food, and making sure people have access to food. She also co-founded the Lehigh Valley-based non-profit collective, Afros in Nature, which aims to create accessible outdoor experiences for Black and Brown beings. Melanie found that her personal and professional values aligned with Pasa’s mission. She has an immense desire to reimagine the state of our world and found Pasa’s desire to build equitable food systems compelling. Melanie strives to be of service and work in intentional and fulfilling environments, encouraging her to join the Pasa team. She is committed to using her skills and knowledge to contribute to the bigger picture and cannot imagine working anywhere else.

Melanie loves going on nature adventures with her little family, traveling, gardening, cooking up unique concoctions, practicing mindful movement/yoga, paddle boarding, and giving back to her community in any way she can.
