POP’S 15th Anniversary Orchard Celebration

In 2022, it will be time to commemorate POP’s 15th year at our annual Orchard Celebration to honor and recognize the contributions of POP supporters who have helped advance our mission over the last year. This year’s event is scheduled for Saturday, September 17 2022 at the POP Learning Orchard at The Woodlands in West Philadelphia. This year’s Purple Fig honoree is The Junior League of Philadelphia, whose support and partnership has made the new infrastructure at the Learning Orchard possible. Golden Persimmon honorees will be POP’s 2022 Lead Orchard Volunteers who are actively engaged in supporting community orchard partner sites in their own neighborhoods.

Activities include: orchard based art projects with Ampersand Textile & friends; live music from Martronimous, and fresh apple cider pressing with the POP team. Plus we’ll have samples of season produce donated by POP partners and Philly Foodworks (ever tried a pawpaw? Asian pear? fresh fig? come early to make sure you get to try them!).

Refreshments will be provided by Golden Dragon, Weckerly’s Ice Cream, Riverwards Produce, Ploughman Cider, Philly Foodworks, and Camuna Cellars.
