We will learn techniques for identifying and scouting common vegetable pests, as well as their life cycles.
We’ll also be talking about practices for attracting or releasing beneficial insects and nematodes. There will be demonstrations on the use of yellow sticky traps, pest count forms, different types of row cover, and OMRI-approved pesticide applications.
We’ll start at The U School’s garden and walk over to Life Do Grow Farm for the last portion of the workshop.
This event is planned with Pasa’s Diversified Vegetable Pre-Apprenticeship participants in mind, but is open to all.
