The Nordells have been Pasa members since the organization’s inception (in 1992) and are valued participants in all three of our farm-based research studies. They are the authors of the article, “Weed the Soil, Not the Crop,” and have developed some truly exceptional soil, weed, and farm management strategies.
Get an up-close look at these unique systems on their six-acre, draft horse-powered diversified vegetable operation. Anne and Eric are eager to share their insights from decades of farming experience with you and to answer all your questions about vegetable production, weed control, and soil health. Pasa’s research coordinator Sarah Bay Nawa will also join us to demonstrate how we collect soil samples, measure water infiltration, and interpret soil test results for our Soil Health Benchmark Study.
This is the first time we’re gathering pre-apprentices, apprentices, journeyworkers, mentor farmers, and training partners all in one place, so it will also be an invaluable opportunity to meet and connect with one another! We’ll have some dedicated time devoted to networking and sharing your experiences.
