Farm Energy Day: High Efficiency Lighting

With the wholesale rollout of Light Emitting Diode (LED) systems, lighting technology has been dramatically changing in recent years. Have you been wondering if these systems are always an improvement for farms? If so the Farm Energy Day: High Efficiency Lighting webinar is for you! Join Penn State’s Energy Extension Team as we take a look at how lighting efficiency is measured, and how farms can improve their lighting efficiency by choosing the right systems and operating them in an efficient manner. We’ll also discuss funding opportunities that can help reduce the cost of energy-efficient upgrades to farm lighting.

This webinar is provided with support and funding from the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection and the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) State Energy Program. Pennsylvania farmers who participate will have the opportunity to request a timer for their engine block heater.
