John and wife Aimee have been organic vegetable farmers for community supported agriculture communities in southeast Pennsylvania for over 15 years. They currently own and operate The Good Farm in Lehigh County, where they started farming full time on their own land in 2018. The Good Farm has 10 acres of certified organic vegetables under production that serves a 200 member community supported agriculture (CSA) operation. Prior to their time at The Good Farm, the Goods operated Quiet Creek Farm CSA at The Rodale Institute for 11 years and worked as farm managers of Charlestown Cooperative Farm in Chester county for 4 years.
After attending their first PASA conference in 2001, the Goods decided they would work towards returning home to Pennsylvania in order to start their farm and family as part of this vibrant, sustainable farming community. John and Aimee have hosted several field days at their farm with PASA, the Collaborative Regional Alliance for Farmer Training, The Rodale Institute, and Penn State Cooperative Extension. John joined the board in 2017 in order to provide guidance and leadership to the organization in gratitude and respect for the guidance and leadership PASA provided in his own journey to becoming a successful farmer.
