Madeline Eby
Dairy Grazing Apprenticeship
Dairy Grazing Apprenticeship
Peachee Farms
Madeline’s love for farm life and calving began when they worked at Peachee Farms in high school before joining Pasa as a Dairy Grazing Apprentice. Their dairy grazing experience also extends to off-site calf management, general organization, and clean-up on their own farm. Madeline’s most memorable time as an apprentice was when they learned how to pull calves and put them into their pasture at night if they got out. They grew from this experience at Peachee Farms, both as a person and as a farmer, becoming more confident in decision-making and aware of different dairy grazing concepts.
After participating in the program, Madeline will begin working at a guest ranch in Colorado.
“Always be prepared to push yourself and give it all you have. It’s a lot of work but worth the reward. Most importantly, have an open mind, be willing to learn, and try new things, especially when it comes to conventional thinking. Understand your ‘why’.”
