About Walker

Walker supports farmers in South Carolina to facilitate access to comprehensive conservation planning and project implementation funding.

Walker has a degree in sustainable agriculture from Appalachian State University. During his time in the North Carolina High Country, he worked on and managed a variety of small, sustainable farms. Before joining Pasa, Walker served as the Conservation Ag Manager for a conservation-oriented nonprofit, gaining experience helping producers in the Carolinas navigate the web of programs and funding opportunities to better the outcomes on their farms. Walker understands that success in farming requires more than just being a good producer—it also requires being a good agribusiness owner, steward of the land, and member of the agriculture community. He is grateful to support farmers in all these areas—the most effective way to truly improve outcomes for farmers.

Walker lives in Greenville, South Carolina, with his wife, Emily, and their crazy dog, Scout. He is an avid hiker and mountain biker and is the proud three-time winner of the Siskey YMCA Leaders’ Club’s ‘Most Likely to Take Over the World’ Award.
