Serena facilitates collaboration among farmers, Pasa’s research team, and the OpenTEAM network to promote the usage and development of climate-smart open source technology tools.
Serena’s career started in technology consulting, supporting customers with design implementation, and troubleshooting software tools. In 2020, she set out to learn about sustainable food production and has since worked on farms in western Massachusetts, the Hudson Valley, and Bucks County, Pennsylvania. She is thrilled to join Pasa in a role that draws from her experiences in both tech and agriculture.
Outside of work, Serena loves to spend time in the kitchen and the garden, experimenting with traditional foods from around the world. She also enjoys hiking, biking, paddling, and other ways of exploring the outdoors. She has recently started exploring the world of permaculture for her own garden and to help family and friends connect with their land and food.
