Reema supports farmers in central and eastern North Carolina to facilitate access to comprehensive conservation planning and project implementation funding.
Reema has personal and professional experiences working with land and community, and her exposure to farming in college was especially formative for her ultimate desire to work in the realm of sustainable agriculture. Prior to Pasa, Reema worked in stewardship and land protection for her local River basin, where she learned immensely about conservation and being a better community member. She is excited to pivot back to agriculture work, tying in her experiences of working in conservation and land protection.
Reema lives in Durham with her partner and pets. She loves to read books with multigenerational family sagas, swim in cold rivers, walk in forests, and sew and knit clothes.
