Luka supports farmers in Western Pennsylvania by facilitating access to comprehensive conservation planning, technical assistance, and project implementation.
Luka has worked in the sustainable agriculture field for over eight years and is an experienced farmworker. Most of his interest and expertise lies in livestock agriculture, including grass-fed meat with a focus on animal health, regenerative grazing, and farmworkers’ rights. He sees the barriers farmers face while trying to balance profitability, animal/land health, and treating their workers fairly, among other things, and is passionate about making sustainable agriculture a viable option for livestock producers. He is stoked to be able to help shift America’s food system towards regenerative practices for all producers!
After six years in northern New England, Luka has returned home to Pittsburgh! They have a farm dog, Kona, who gets two walks in the woods or fields every day… that’s over 4,000 walks in her lifetime already!
