About Leah

Leah is an AmeriCorps member placed with Pasa through the Working Lands Climate Corps program. They are training alongside our Climate-Smart Farming and Marketing team to support farmers as they implement farming practices to increase ecosystem resilience and food sovereignty from Maine to South Carolina.

Growing up tapping maple trees and throwing apples in the cider press on their grandparents’ farm in Northwest Pennsylvania, Leah had a strong connection to the outdoors from a young age. They received a bachelor’s degree in sustainability from Chatham University with a focus on energy and urban systems. Since then, they went on to intern with The Climate Reality Project, engaging with communities in the Ohio River Valley region impacted by the continued development of fossil fuel infrastructure. Leah also worked with cows, sheep, goats, and chickens in both rural and urban agricultural spaces. She was drawn to Pasa’s focus on farmers, relationship-building, and resource accessibility.

Leah loves to cook with her siblings, play music with friends, and walk along the creek with their cousins.
