Kristen supports farmers as they implement climate-smart farming practices to increase climate resilience and food sovereignty from Maine to South Carolina.
Before joining Pasa, Kristen worked on their undergraduate institution’s farm, participated in a sustainable agriculture intensive in Oahu, Hawai’i, and completed a thesis on agroforestry. After graduating, they worked on various farms across the Northeast and provided technical assistance to community gardens. Kristen also holds a master’s degree in international sustainable development and climate change with a certificate in food justice and resilient communities. More recently, they worked in communications for a regional food hub in New England and strengthened their knowledge of regenerative farming through the Rodale Institute Farmer Training program.
In their spare time, Kristen writes fantasy novels and enjoys many hobbies, including painting and hiking.
