Jess is an AmeriCorps member placed with Pasa through the Working Lands Climate Corps program. She is training alongside our Climate-Smart Farming and Marketing team to support farmers as they implement farming practices to increase ecosystem resilience and food sovereignty from Maine to South Carolina.
Jess recently graduated with her bachelor’s degree in biology with minored in chemistry and environmental sustainability. Her first exposure to food systems came during her study abroad program in the Turks and Caicos Islands, where she learned about food insecurity in small island states. After graduating, Jess joined AmeriCorps through Conservation Corps North Carolina, working with youth on projects in collaboration with the US Forest Service and a nonprofit community farm organization. Jess was drawn to Pasa’s commitment to making resources accessible to farmers and their communities.
In her free time, Jess enjoys listening to live music, going on hikes, baking, and exploring new places.
