About Charlotte

Charlotte supports farmers in Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island to facilitate access to comprehensive conservation planning and project implementation funding.

Charlotte grew up on a small farm in the Finger Lakes where her family raises Katahdin sheep and runs a wood-fired bakery. She has spent the last 15 years working in food, agriculture, and education in New England. After finishing her degree in food studies from Brown University, Charlotte worked in nonprofit food access and culinary job skills training for youth, as well as pastured poultry production in Rhode Island. For the past six years, she has managed the pastured livestock farm operation at Hampshire College, teaching undergraduate students the joys and puzzles of farming and grazing. She lives in western Massachusetts, where she owns a small grass-fed beef operation. Charlotte believes that thriving agricultural communities make the world go ’round and is excited to help farmers access the robust support they need to thrive.

In her spare time, Charlotte enjoys being with her partner and pets, plays the old-time fiddle, and loves to sew and knit.
