About Alyssa

Alyssa is an AmeriCorps member placed with Pasa through the Working Lands Climate Corps program. She is training alongside our Climate-Smart Farming and Marketing team to support farmers as they implement farming practices to increase ecosystem resilience and food sovereignty from Maine to South Carolina.

Before joining Pasa, Alyssa worked in research and development for the Boys and Girls Club of Atlantic City, where she helped elevate community awareness of creative programs for kids through grant writing and journalism. She holds a bachelor’s degree in anthropology with a concentration in ecology and art. Her research interests are motivated by the need for awareness and perspective in communities, maintained through ecological stewardship. Her passion for conservation science is fueled by her time spent outdoors and the healing influence of nature. She is thrilled to learn and grow with Pasa and to uphold Pasa’s vision of building collective liberation within and beyond agriculture.

Growing up in South Jersey, she is thankful to have experienced the joy of living near the Atlantic Ocean and the beautiful Pine Barrens. When her free time is not spent adding to her ever-growing book collection, she enjoys home projects, hiking, and tending to a budding herbal apothecary and native plant garden.
