POSITION SUMMARY
Willistown Conservation Trust (WCT) is seeking a Rushton Farm Intern. Rushton Farm, on the grounds of Rushton Woods Preserve, began 18 years ago to support the WCT mission by modeling sustainable agricultural practices and promoting the values of open space, natural resource protection and healthy local food production to the community. By bringing together community members, farmers, and land in a mutually supportive relationship, the farm program contributes to the growth of local food networks and connects people of all ages and backgrounds more closely with preserved land. Using organic and regenerative farming practices, the land works at Rushton Farm to feed a 110-family Community Supported Agriculture (CSA). Because of its unique approach to agriculture, Rushton Farm has become a beloved community resource and a powerful education and outreach vehicle, attracting volunteers, students, researchers and aspiring farmers.
The ideal candidate is passionate about environmental conservation, demonstrates strong initiative, possesses excellent project management skills, and thrives in a collaborative environment. As a small nonprofit, WCT values teamwork across all departments.
This position reports to the Rushton Farm Field Manager.
