Job description
Job Title: Production Technician

Departments: Field, Greenhouse, Microgreen, Compost, Distribution

Schedule: Sunday-Thursday OR Tuesday-Saturday

Hours: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, full time, year-round

Location: Pocono Organics, onsite

Compensation: starting at $16 hourly

Responsibilities:

· Conduct farm activities as instructed to meet production goals of each farm operations department

o Seeding

o Transplanting

o Plant Care

o Harvesting

o Post-harvest care

o Irrigation & Watering

o Housekeeping & Cleaning

o Compost

o Landscape

· Maintain accurate logs to satisfy compliance requirements

· Engage with training programing

· Participate in events

Skills:

· Use supplies, tools, equipment in an appropriate & safe manor.

· Understands the action, function, benefits and risks of farm activities performed

· Aware of personal skill scope; asks for help when needed, takes initiative when possible

· Perform all duties with a focus on quality, thoroughness, and speed

· Able to work individually on a team or lead a team when necessary.

Qualifications:

· Experience in agriculture or related field

· Excellent verbal, written, and digital communication skills

Physical Demands

· Must be willing to work in all types of weather year round

· Able to lift and carry 50 lbs. indoor & outdoors.

· Able to work flexible hours to meet goals throughout the seasons
