Farm Philly is hiring two seasonal farmers for 6-month full-time positions to help operate the Carousel House Farm.
The Carousel House Farm is the city’s only public production and education farm that grows food and flowers on a half-acre of land in West Fairmount Park. Each season, the farm produces 2-5,000 pounds of fresh produce, which is donated to different neighborhood partners, food pantries, or community fridges throughout the season. In this position, the Farmer leads production and food redistribution and supports farm maintenance. The position also includes conducting and supporting public programs at the Farm. Work Location: Carousel House Recreation Center, 4300 Avenue of the Republic
Work Hours: 37.5 hours/week, Monday – Saturday, with flexibility for evening events and weekend programs. Specific weekly schedules will be coordinated with farm staff and Farm Philly supervisor.
