Job Title: Distribution Coordinator
Schedule: Sunday-Thursday Hours: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Location: Pocono Organics
Responsibilities:
• Execute the production plan with precision and minimal error to meet production goals, provide corrective action when necessary
• Provide excellent post-harvest care to maintain product integrity and extend shelf life
• Collaborate with Department Managers to create weekly harvest schedules and harvest forecasts
• Accept harvest from each farm operations department and provide post-harvest care
• Lead farm team in grading, storage and packaging duties
• Create distribution schedule of weekly deliveries
• Conduct release prior to external distribution
• Liaison between Farm Operations, Pocono Organics Market & Café, and sales team
• Keep accurate supply inventory and submit purchase orders
• Ensure deliverables for special ventures
• Facilitate CSA programing and compose CSA newsletter
• Maintain accurate records of to satisfy all compliance requirements
• Store all tools, supplies, equipment in an organized safe manner that maintains its integrity over time
• Rotate cooler inventory, report accurate inventory
• Collaborate in farm operations scheduling efforts to ensure consistent coverage of all farm ops departments
• Adhere to all food safety protocols
• Develop innovative solutions for post-harvest care
• Establish a culture of safety, enforce all safety policies and procedures
• Contribute to landscaping and housekeeping efforts
• Support all other departments as needed, any other duties as assigned
Skills
• Operate equipment, implements, vehicles and tools in a skilled and safe manor
• Understand the action, function, benefits and risks of equipment, implements, tools and vehicles
• Perform regular maintenance within your skill set, report when necessary.
• Engage with teamwork and self-motivated for solo tasks.
• Digital Literacy
• Excellent communication skills; verbal, written, digital
Qualifications
• 2-3 years of agricultural experience with particular interest in post-harvest care and regenerative organic agriculture
• Proficient in MS office suite
• Public Speaking is a plus
Physical Demands
• Must be willing to work in all types of weather year round
• Able to lift and carry 50 lbs.

• Able to adapt hours according to the season to meet production goals
