We are recruiting for two positions on our 8-acre oasis that might hit a chord with the right person(s) for the short and long terms. One person could assume both positions.

#1 Organic Farmer: Seeking a responsible and flexible steward for our certified organic 5-acre field currently growing Pick-Your-Own sunflowers🌻 & heirloom tomatoes🍅 with option to diversify🧄🥔🎃🌺.

Start Date: March 1, 2025

Responsibilities:
Plant cover crops, native wild-flowers
Disc, prepare soil
Plant sunflowers
Maintain U-pick honor farmstand
Control weeds

Qualifications:
Reliable transportation
Knowledge of organic and regenerative farming practices
Experience driving tractor (discing, planting)
Ability to work in all weather conditions
Work independently and collaboratively

Compensation:
$20/hr
Use of 2-3 acres and Red Sol Farm brand for your organic farming

#2 Homestead Caretaker: Looking for a kindred spirit to tend 3 acre residential property with apple orchard🍎🍏, victory garden🥕🥔🍆🥬🥒, berry patches, small flock of chickens🐔🥚, and landscaping.

Start Date: April 1, 2025

Qualifications:
Reliable transportation
Experience with mowing, pruning fruit trees, weeding, planting and harvesting vegetables, tending chickens, house sitting, working independently and collaboratively

Compensation:
$20/hr

References required and housing available.
