Our Board
Deirdre and her partner Will own and operate Spiral Path Farm, a second generation, organic produce farm that serves a 1500 member CSA in Central Pennsylvania, sells wholesale to Wegman’s, and attends farmers markets in the D.C. area.
As part of their commitment to environmental stewardship, Spiral Path has been a dedicated research collaborator in Pasa’s Soil Health Benchmark Study since the very beginning, participating in a trial cohort in 2016, a year before the official study launched.
In addition to managing the farm’s finances, Deirdre is studying to be a health coach. She grew up in Maine, where her family had a large vegetable garden and raised animals for meat, milk, and eggs. She credits this upbringing with giving her a passion for nutrition and a belief that we should always know where, and under what conditions, our food is grown. When not in the farm offices, you can usually find Deirdre working in her flower gardens. Hibiscus varieties are her current favorite.
Deirdre joined the board to further Pasa’s work supporting farmers to grow healthy food in a sustainable way. She believes Pasa’s vision of “a world where agriculture nourishes, heals, and empowers” is possible if we work together.
