Aaron manages our educational programming in the eastern part of Pennsylvania, and facilitates year-round field day events in the region. He is also the statewide lead education coordinator for our Dairy Grazing Apprenticeship. Aaron works to empower farmers as teachers, and helps to build farms that succeed socially, economically, and ecologically.
Aaron began working on farms as a teenager, and spent his high school and college summers as a field hand on mid-scale, conventional vegetable farms in Chester County. After earning a B.S. in Natural Resources, Aaron worked in research science as a field biologist for a number of years.
Aaron returned to agriculture through exposure to agroecological principles, as well as food justice issues, at the University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC). After completing a second year in the Apprenticeship in Ecological Horticulture at UCSC, Aaron spent eight years managing organic flower and vegetable operations in Pennsylvania and Vermont.
Aaron has been with us since 2016. His office is located in Chester County, a few minutes from where he grew up.
