Michael Rozyne is founder and evangelist of Red Tomato, a nonprofit produce “food hub” based in Plainville, MA that brings local fruits and vegetables from 40 regional farms to supermarkets and institutions. For three decades, he’s marketed products from both organic and conventional small farms, and offers a breadth of experience in bringing together unlikely allies for the common good.
In 1986, Michael co-founded the worker-owned fair trade coffee company Equal Exchange, now a leading U.S. fair trade company. He started Red Tomato in 1996 to bring fair trade principles to farmers in the U.S.
