is a force to be reckoned with in the greenhouse. While working for a Pittsburgh urban farming nonprofit for 5 years, she managed the historic Frick greenhouse and a small urban garden nearby. Her interest in education was sparked through the many tours and classes she gave on small scale sustainable gardening.
Bob grew up in Bedford, PA and inspired to teach and try to be a positive force in the world, became an elementary teacher and environmental educator. Small scale home food production, sustainable farm practices, and building strong local food webs and communities has been his focus over the last 15 years. During that time, managing an urban farm and nursery, learning from some amazing farmers, teaching gardening classes speaking at events, he was working towards farm ownership.
