Managing an urban production space comes with a unique set of challenges. Join us at Grow Pittsburgh’s Garden Dreams for a full-day of learning, sharing, and growing community with other urban farm managers across Allegheny County and the wider Western Pennsylvania region.
We’ll kick off the day with networking, goal-setting (and plenty of coffee). Morning and afternoon presentations will explore topics like irrigation systems, pest management, farmer co-ops, business basics, grant writing, and more.
We’ll wrap up with open discussion, reflection, and more time for networking and community building.
Got a burning question or an issue you’d like us to cover? Let us know! Submit any and all discussion questions to dan@pasafarming.org by December 1 for consideration in this year’s program.
Please note: This meeting is designed for individuals responsible for management-level activities (such as crop planning, irrigation, weed and pest management, harvest, post-harvest food safety, or farm business) at production-oriented urban sites in Western Pennsylvania.
Not sure if this event is for you? Please reach out to Dan Dalton at dan@pasafarming.org for more information.
