Tractor Operation, Safety & Basic Maintenance (Postponed)

This event has been postponed due to COVID-19.

This two-day class is designed to educate and empower current or future users of agricultural tractors and farm equipment.

While it caters to aspiring and beginning farmers, it has also proven valuable to seasoned professionals—some of whom were never formally schooled on tractors.

During the class, we’ll demystify tractors and help you understand how tractors are designed to work; how to operate them safely and effectively; and how to perform regular maintenance tasks. We’ll cover a substantial amount of material in a classroom setting, on and around a tractor, and “in the workshop.”

You’ll leave this class with a much greater appreciation for safe tractor use and machinery care, along with new knowledge and resources.

Because of the fast pace of the class, the substantial volume of material covered, and the hands-on components, this class is intended for a small group. Space is very limited, so register early!

Additional information

  • Capacity: 12 participants
  • Complimentary lunch will be provided. Please note: While we do our best to estimate order quantities, meals are only guaranteed to those who register at least five business days before the event. This is because we need to place an advanced order with caterers. If you register later than five business days prior to the event, lunch is not guaranteed—please plan accordingly. You are welcome to bring your own food.
