Summer Camp on the Farm: Farm-Based Education Workshop

Mountainside Education & Enrichment in conjunction with Bar-T Mountainside is hosting MAEF’s 7th annual Winter Farm-Based Education Workshop Wednesday, Jan. 16th, 2019 from 9:30-3:30.

Bar-T Mountainside is home to a summer camp, challenge and retreat center, and working vegetable farm. Hands-on learning through agricultural and culinary programming is the main focus of their popular Harvest Camp during the summer and equally sought-after Harvest Club during the school year.

Join Brian Kuser of Fernbrook Farms, NJ, and Nick Miller of Bar-T Mountainside, MD, who will lead special sessions on how to build, grow, and maintain ag-related summer camps. It is a great opportunity to network with fellow farm-based educators and learn from seasoned veterans in the field of summer camps. You will also have the opportunity to tour Mountainside’s vegetable garden and high tunnel.
