Selling Food Products Wholesale for Small-Scale Producers (Webinar)

The pandemic has disrupted restaurants and changed how consumers interact with grocery stores, and food brands have been forced to change their approach to the wholesale channel. As small producers shift more of their attention towards direct-to-consumer opportunities, the surge of local products on grocery store shelves has waned.

This program will cover:

• How the wholesale marketplace is changing
• Approaching potential wholesale partners
• Big box vs. independent grocery stores
• Making virtual sales calls
• Payment terms to encourage quick payment

“Selling Food Products Wholesale for Small-Scale Producers” is hosted as part of the PA SBDC’s Agriculture Center of Excellence. This joint initiative of The University of Scranton SBDC, Clarion University SBDC, and Penn State SBDC will help Pennsylvania agriculture businesses sustain operations and stabilize food supply chains in the wake of the pandemic. For more information on the PA SBDC Agriculture COE, visit our website.

This webinar will be presented by Small Potatoes, a boutique consulting firm that specializes in working with small-scale and start-up food product companies.
