The benefits of cover crops are wide ranging—from decreased soil erosion and tighter nutrient cycling that can reduce the amount (and cost) of fertilizer, to increased soil organic matter and crop resilience during seasons with challenging weather conditions.
Farmers, students, researchers, extension educators, government and industry representatives, and others will gather to talk and learn about all things cover crop-related at the 2019 Northeast Cover Crops Council Conference.
This year’s keynote speaker will be Sarah Carlson from the Practical Farmers of Iowa. Find the conference’s agenda here.
The day following the conference (Friday, November 8), join us for a field tour of the Beltsville Agricultural Research Center from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
The conference is co-organized by PASA.
Walk in registrations are welcome!
