Hemp Innovators Winter Meeting: 2020 Hemp- Boon or Bust?

2019 was a whirlwind in the world of hemp. From planting, growing, harvesting, processing and more, the industry was booming. Shifts were constant as everyone was learning and experiencing the same things from different perspectives. Uncertainty currently abounds as most farmers still have not been paid for the 2019 crop. But the product is starting to move, and clarity for 2020 is beginning to focus.
Some of the top minds are gathering to sort out the realities and opportunities that this year may have to offer in growing hemp. The meeting will take place on Thursday, January 16th, 2020, 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM at the Lancaster County Farm & Home Center 1383 Arcadia Rd, Lancaster, PA 17601. (Registration begins at 7:30 am) Practical tips and advice will be given from experienced farmers- focusing on information needed to effectively grow hemp in 2020. From selecting the right seeds, planning for harvest, processing, extraction, and perhaps most importantly, the most up-to-date legal requirements from the PA Deputy Secretary PA of Agriculture, Fred Strathmeyer. National Hemp Council member Erica McBride Stark will share her big-picture perspective as it relates on what to expect in regard to growing hemp in 2020.
