Join Rodale Institute’s greenhouse manager John Long for a farm tour that focuses on the Institute’s spring propagation operations. You’ll learn John’s approach to the nuts and bolts of seedling start and care techniques for both annual and perennial plants, as well as how he develops Rodale’s propagation plan for the season.
We’ll consider crop scheduling, staggering plantings, choosing varieties, high tunnel preparation and production, and more. John has over a decade of experience in organic farming, including ten years managing greenhouses at Delaware Valley University, prior to joining the Rodale team.
