A Conservation Learning Circle for Women who Own or Operate Farms or Seek Farmland in Dauphin County PA
American Farmland Trust and the Dauphin County Conservation District invite women who own or operate farms in Dauphin County, PA to participate in a two-day engaging discussion on the resources and support for farmland management, conservation and/or preservation.
Day 1
When: Wednesday 9/30/20 (Day 1) 9:00 am to 4:00 pm
Where: Jubilee Farm, 1306 Pecks rd, Middletown PA 17057
What: Introduction to conservation planning, farm tour to see and discuss conservation practices
Day 2
When: Wednesday 10/28/20 (Day 2) (11:30 am–12:30pm optional lunch) Meeting 12:30 – 6:00 pm
Where: Dauphin County Conservation District, 1451 Peters Mountain Rd, Dauphin, PA 17018
What: Meet conservation agencies that can help women farmers/farmland owners, discuss leasing land, seeking land, funding sources, land preservation and agricultural easements, succession and estate planning.
There is no fee for the Learning Circle. Lunch will be served on Day 1 and Day 2 (both are free to participants through a grant from NRCS).
