A Conservation Learning Circle for Women who Own, Farm, or Seek Farmland in York County, PA
American Farmland Trust and the York County Conservation District invite women who own or work or seek farmland in York County, PA to participate in a two-day engaging discussion on the resources and support for farmland management, conservation and/or preservation.
We will be following all social-distance guidelines on the date of the event.
Day 1
When: Tuesday 10/6/20 9:00 am to 4:00 pm
Where: Horn Farm Center for Agricultural Education, 4945 Horn Rd, York (Hellam) PA
What: Introduction to conservation planning, farm tour to see and discuss conservation practices
Day 2
When: Thursday 10/29/20 (11:30 am – 12:30pm optional lunch) Meeting 12:30 – 4:30pm
Where: York County Agricultural Center, 2401 Pleasant Valley Rd, Ste 101, Room 139, York PA
What: Meet conservation agencies that can help women farmers/farmland owners, discuss leasing land, seeking land, funding sources, land preservation and agricultural easements, succession and estate planning.
There is no fee for the Learning Circle. Lunch will be served on Day 1 and Day 2 (both are free to participants).
