Benchmark Your Vegetable Farm Finances [Webinar]

Direct-market vegetable sales at farmers markets, CSAs, on-site farm stands, and other outlets are an $439 million industry in Pennsylvania. Yet, little information is available to help vegetable farmers make data-driven business decisions to improve financial returns from direct-markets.

Through our multi-year Diversified Vegetable Financial Benchmark Study, we’re helping vegetable farmers who sell some or all of their products through direct-market channels to benchmark their financial data and improve their bottom line.

You can join the study by participating in this webinar, where you’ll complete a detailed financial survey about your vegetable farm that will take approximately 90 minutes. We will later provide you with personalized information about how your business finances compare to farms across the Mid-Atlantic region. We’ll also share highlights and lessons learned from our 2017 study during the webinar.

All participants are eligible for a $100 stipend for completing the study, and must prepare some basic 2018 financial records before the workshop. General results from this study will be shared publicly, but your farm’s specific data will be kept confidential.

Interested in participating but can’t make the webinar? Contact research@pasafarming.org to discuss other options for participating.

Note: This project is currently limited to for-profit, commercial operations.
