This full day meeting is intended for professional vegetable growers with a minimum of five years management experience to dig deep on issues that contribute to farm profitability.
The morning presentation and farmer-to-farmer breakout sessions will focus on irrigation. Jennifer Glennister of New Morning Farm will discuss the logistics of managing irritation on large and small farms, balancing irrigation with other work schedules (i.e. cultivation and harvest), and the impact of irrigation on farm profitability in a dry year.
The afternoon presentation and farmer-to-farmer breakout sessions will focus on nutrient management to build soils and meet crop needs.
These presentations will be complemented by breakout sessions for facilitated group discussion, where you’ll have the chance to raise the questions that matter most to your farm, share your own insights and experiences, and learn directly from your peers.
We’ll conclude with a panel discussion focusing on how irrigation and nutrient management impact farm profitability.
