Wild Fox Farm is seeking a Vegetable Team Lead
Starting date flexible, no later than April 1, 2022. This individual will be focused on leading 2-3 crew members in all aspects of our 4-acre diversified vegetable operation.

Farm
Wild Fox Farm is a highly diversified, Certified Organic farm in Barto, Pennsylvania. We have been farming for 10 years and will be managing 150 acres in 2022. Our veggie production team produces 3 – 4 acres of mixed vegetables annually, 45 acres of small grains, ~40 pastured hogs, and 10+ beef cattle. We manage 4 high-tunnels for year round vegetable production, Our core team consists of 1 full time farmer and 2 seasonal farmers. We market our produce through 2+ farmers markets, on-farm curb-side pickup, a small seasonal CSA membership and 2-3 wholesale accounts. We employ a hybrid bio-intensive vegetable production system. Our sister business, Wild Fox Provisions, is one or PA’s leading seed-to-shelf CBD brands and operates on the same farm land.

Position
We are looking for someone with a positive attitude who can provide comprehensive, resourceful & empathetic leadership for the veggie team. They must be able to maintain and improve on our current farm systems of organization, and communication: Employee Handbook, Field Production Guide, Organic Certification, Misc. record keeping documents. We are looking for someone with 2+ years experience in diversified commercial vegetable production, 2+ years professional team leadership experience, and who can commit to 3+ years.
Typical seasonal rhythm:
Spring-Fall: 45-50hrs/week (April – October): Monday – Friday 7am – 8am start, 3pm – 5pm end, weekend farmer’s market rotation
Winter: 30hrs/week (December-March)

Compensation
Starting at $18/hr, 90 day probationary period, health insurance cost share and paid vacation available in second year of employment. Annual raises and added benefits apply with consecutive years of employment and we are open to developing growth strategies for additional compensation increases.
