Washington PA land
Hello, all. My family is seeking a long term lease agreement for a multi-generational family farm on 500 acres of rolling hills in Washington County, PA. It an active grass fed and finished Red Devon beef operation. We are looking to transition caretaking from the current aging generation to a farmer or farm family seeking land for a possible long term lease. We are not looking to lease-to-own right now.
We would like the farm to be used and maintained—a beef operation is current use but this farm has been used for sheep and dairy. The dairy facility is physically still there—but not operational since 1992. There are approx 100 tillable acres throughout the farm.
The farm has lots of fresh clean spring water with troughs in all the fields and new fencing around the entire farm, there are new barns as well as older barns and a fishing/recreational pond.
We have farm equipment—balers, tractors, wagons, livestock trailer, mowers, bobcat, and small utility vehicle—these could be built into an agreement.
Housing on the farm currently includes a mobile home that’s in place now. An option for a larger structure to be placed on the farm is possible—like a double-wide, if one were interested in doing so. There is plenty of space near the current mobile home for a large garden, and space to keep chickens or goats if one desired.
