JOB DESCRIPTION
Real Organic Project, a grassroots farmer-led nonprofit, seeks a Certification Coordinator/Inspector to join our growing team. Real Organic Project runs a free add-on certification program focused on integrity within the certified organic system. We also organize a yearly symposium and undertake a large variety of consumer and farmer-facing educational efforts. Whoever fills this position should feel passionate about creating change within the food system and working hard to support real organic farmers. We pride ourselves on being a small organization that gets big things done. In 3 years, Real Organic Project has grown from 60 pilot farms to 850 farms across the country. This position is full-time, salaried, and is a permanently 100% remote job.

The Real Organic Project Certification Coordinator/Inspector will assist with all aspects of Real Organic Project’s certification program. During certain times of year work may involve special projects unrelated to the direct recruitment/inspection of farms. Successful candidates will need to be comfortable spending up to 30% of their time traveling to farms (all travel costs will be paid for by Real Organic Project). Trip durations vary significantly but can be as short as a day trip and as long as several weeks.

Real Organic Project offers competitive pay (45K-50K per year), partial health insurance reimbursement, 3 weeks of PTO, paid holidays and sick leave, a yearly retirement contribution, and an automatic annual cost of living raise.
