Scott operates Patchwork Farm and Greenhouse in Aaronsburg, PA. He and his wife, Eda, have been running the farm for 22 years, and are the second generation of Eda’s family to do so. One hundred percent of their income comes from their farming operations. The farm operates a retail greenhouse that produces bedding plants, perennials, and organic vegetable transplants in the spring. During the summer and fall, production focuses on organic vegetables and selling through farmers markets and a local restaurant. The farm has been organic since 1991, and is now certified-organic through PCO. Patchwork Farm is a founding member of both the State College and Boalsburg Farmers’ Markets. Scott is also a member of the Pennsylvania Farm Bureau and the Association for Horticulture Professionals, OFA.
